Steven and I just finished watching this movie for the first time, since we were fans of the first one. This was a great movie (especially a sequel) it had everyone from the original cast for the most part. It wasn't cheesy at all I think the plot was really strong.
If you liked the first movie definitely check out this one. If you haven't seen the first one I would say to see that one first or you'll be completely lost.
